I was over at a friends house today and she drew my attention to this beautiful huge "ANGEL"S TRUMPET" she had in her yard. Also known as, "The Dog Killing Brugmansia". I ask her if she realized just how poisonous this Angel Trumpet was? Most people are not aware if your dog were to eat a piece of this plant it would most likely end up dead! Angel's trumpet is UNSAFE for everyone. The entire plant is poisonous, but the leaves and seeds contain the most poison. Consuming angel’s trumpet can cause confusion, dilated pupils, intense thirst, dry skin, flushing, fever, high blood pressure, fast heartbeat, hallucinations, nervousness, loss of memory, convulsions, paralysis, coma, and even death!!! As Beautiful as this plant may be, deffinately keep children and your pets away from it!
So sorry I cannot share some of the pictures that I had posted to these post but unfortunately that server went down.
Danielle Animals Fly Home From Italy April 26, 2012 So finally we have confirmation that Danielles animals will fly home from Italy on the 5th Of May. We are SO excited to see them but more excited when she arrives home on the 24th!!! But will be very sad to see her leave for North Dakota the next day. I havent seen her since last June 2011. Thank god for skype :-) MY DOGS LIVE HERE My dogs live here, they're here to stay. you don't like pets, be on your way. they share my home, my food, my space this is their home, this is their place. You will find dog hair on the floor, they will alert you're at the door. they may request a little pat, a simple "no" will settle that. It gripes me when I hear you say "just how is it you live this way? they smell, they shed, they're in the way.." WHO ASKED YOU? is all I can say.. They love me more than anyone, my voice is like the rising sun, they merely have to hear me say "C'mon girls, time to go and play" then tails wag and faces grin, they bounce and hop and make a din. They never say "no time for you", they're always there, to GO and DO. and if I'm sad? They're by my side and if I'm mad? they circle wide and if I laugh, they laugh with me they understand, they always see. So once again, I say to you come visit me, but know this too.. My dogs live here, they're here to stay. you don't like pets, be on your way. they share my home, my food, my space this is their home, this is their place. Author Unknown Going To The Vet March 23, 2011 As many of you already know we have been busy as bee's since these two litters have been born. Its almost as though we have lived at the vet and the airport the past 2 months. On our weekly scheduled vet visit today to get 2 health certificates they call us back and as usually they have a clean towel waiting to put down on the weight machine before the pups get weighed. The staff know me fairly well and Im so paranoid of parvo and things you can catch from the vets office, my babies DO NOT even touch their feet on the floor until they get home. I had one today that weighed 38 lbs but I still carried him in until he was on the table and then carried him back to the car! I have many pictures that I would like to share of our visits to the vet. I love our vet. He is very good with the pets and is very thorough to make sure they are in great health. He does the facal, temp, test for ear mites and is all around a great vet. So far knock on wood my record is outstanding. My babies have never had coccidia, giardia, worms, etc. . . and I intend on keping it that way :-) When I am in the vets office with these babies I feel like I did 25 years ago when I used to carry my kids to the doctor. Lol Hope you enjoy the pics! ~Deborah Claire & Issac Get Prepared Isaac and claire getting prepared for Molly's arrival this Sunday. They got a new book to start learning about their new german shepherd puppy, Molly :-) They are so ExCiTeD!!! Sadie May & Rocky Go Home To The Moody Family! April 18, 2010 JoAnn, Dan and children arrive this morning to pick up Sadie May. She loved them! All the pups had a great time playing with all the children! They also loved Rocky and took him too. I love to see a brother and a sibling go together like that. The Moody family are wonderful german shepherd loving people and I know they will receive lots of love and protection from Sadie May and Rocky. It was very nice meeting you guys and I hope this is a great start for a new beginning for another chapter in all your lives! Below are pictures that were taken today after sadie May and Rocky arrive in their new homes today. These pictures are so awesome! Thank you JoeAnn & Dan! Oliver's Playtime :) April 17, 2010 Oliver stays in the house and in the garage also now since he is much bigger. He has a kennel of his own at night he stays in but comes inside and goes from the garage and in the house, back an forth throughout the day. Every day I let him out to play with the others that are 2 weeks younger then him. They play and play! He is going to Faith that lives in an apartment in Manhatten in NYC! He will be going to Central park to play every single day! Lucky dog!!! When Puppies Are Born! When the mom goes into labor she is made as comfortable as possible. All puppies are born in the house in a kiddy pool. We are with them every second, they recieve 24/7 care and we never leave their side. The mom has lots of visitors coming in and out to see how she is doing and after the pups are born. Puppies Are Moved Outside April 11, 2010 So after the puppies have spent 8 weeks in the house and garage during the colder weather it finally time to move them outside. They are paper trained so good I almost hate for them to go outside, afraid they may forget but they need to be moved outside in case they go to a home that requires them to stay outside. My grandson is loving it! And so are the puppies! The first time they went out they didnt know what a water or mud hole was and ran right in them. It was so funny. lol In just a few hours they learned to walk and run around them. They are so smart! We keep them in the kennel at night for their own safety and let them out to run in the fence during the day. I figured since they stayed in the 5x5 kenel at night in the garage it would be added security for them to have there kennel bed outside with them as added security and to have something they were fimilar with. They all are having so much fun with all the room they have to roam around in. Pictures are below. Notice my grandson up in the tree He is 100% boy Dacks Finally Gets Home! Its the evening before flight departure in Atlanta, Ga. I borrow my daughters van so me and another breeder will have plenty of room to fly 2 of my puppies and one of her larger puppies out. We find us a good driver to take us there and back. Its a 3 hr drive one way. We leave at 1:30am in the morning. Good trip! Good day except for no sleep again! We arrive in Atlanta at 4:30. They open at 5am and Dacks finally gets checked in to leave for his new home! He is such a good boy and loves his crate. They didnt take his collar off this morning. I was glad. We then go eat breakfast and come back to sleep an hour before we fly the other 2 puppies out. Daisy will be going to Anchorage, Alaska and will have a over stay in houston at pet stay for about 5 hours. That way she can get out, eat and run and play for a little while. At 8:30 we have all puppies checked in and we are ready to head back for Alabama! Yipppeee!!!!! We arrive home at 11am and puppies are finally at home safe with there new owners. Below you will see "Daisy" before I carry her inside to check in before her long flight to Alaska. She is in the crate. Continental Airlines Rocks Delta Airlines Falls Through April 7, 2010 So here I have everything in order, We have the food, water, crate, health certificate, flight acclimation and puppy ready. Also have the confirmation time for the flight with departure and arrival time for Vermont. The only think left to do is to find a sitter for the grandson. Its now 3am and time to leave. Stayed up al night feared I wouldnt wake up in time to make the flight. The flight leaves at 7am our time and you have to be there 2 hours ahead of time or they wont take the puppy. The pets are checked in before the people. So here we arrive at 4am, walk in with the crate and puppy "Dacks" ready and excited about getting him to The Munson family. Instantly we find out the computers are down and I start to pase the floor. They are manually writing the tickets for the people to fly. I asked at least a half a dozen times if they think they may get him on board and they said they woud try. I proceed to do the paperwork so if he happens to catch the flight it will go much quicker. My daughter, Dacks and I sit and wait patiently until the last person is checked in and I walk back up to the counter and ask her is there is anyway he will get to fly. She makes a phone calls and proceeds to tell me there is no way he will fly that morning! I am so mad I could scream! I call the owner and tel him the bad news and on Easter day of all days! I will never try to fly out a puppy on a holiday again and will definately not EVER fly will Delta again! Its bad enough they dont get the puppy on board after driving for an hour and staying up all night but now we have to drive an hour back home. When you call them on the phone to make reservations for the flight they are very rude and you can hardly understand their english! Never again, Im so exhausted I could cry! Finally arrived home 5 hours later, got two and a half hrs sleep and the new owner calls me and tells me that Delta told him I was a No-Show!!! Grhhhhh DONT FLY YOUR PUPS DELTA!!!!! Getting Ready For The Flight! April 3, 2010 Today is the day to get everything in order for the flight. Ive been crate training them for a week I want to make absoultely sure they can survive the long flight without pooping or peeing in their crate if possibly. I will cut up strips of newpaper to put down in their crate just in case. Most airline allow us to do that before departure. They are doing real good in the crates. I started them out a few hours being confinded in the crate at first and then 4 hours and then longer and longer until I know they will be safe and hopefully feel safe in their new home until they arrive at their new family. Also have to get all the paperwork in order and call the airlines to confirm the flight schedule before leaving at 3am to get Dacks to the airport which is an hour away. He is flying out of Chattanooga. I will also get water and food packed and ready to go on the crate in case they have a layover and will need to be feed. In the meantime I will mail the contract to the new owners for them to acknowledge and agree to keep in my records. Visit To The Vet ~April 3, 2010 We took Dacks and Daisy to the vet today to get ready their health certificate and get them ready to fly. Dacks in going to upstate New York and daisy is fly into anchorage, Alaska. They were so good although Daisy whimpered some in her crate. She weighed 8.9 lbs and Dacks weighed 9.4. The males are usually always bigger than the females. Everything went great! My record is still clean. . . No Worms!!! Yipppeee! Before they weighed them I put own a clean towels that they could stand on so they wouldnt catch anything from puppies and animals prior to the weighing. My daughter worked for a vet for some time so I know how the weigh machines and such items can be easily missed when they are disinfecting the areas. |
